Just over
an hour north of the Pyrenees and set in the pine forest of Les
Landes, Camping Le Vieux Port is an exceptional resort with first
class facilities, rated as 5-star. The swimming pool complex has 7
pools with 2 water chutes and is one of the largest campsite water
parks in France. There are excellent sports facilities as well as
two children’s play areas.
Take time out to relax in the modern Wellness Centre with spa, steam
room, beauty salon and massage. The campsite provides great daytime
and evening entertainment until mid September including various
activities for children, and there is a regular outdoor disco in
high season. Shopping is easy and relaxing with numerous boutiques,
stalls and a well-stocked supermarket. Our spacious pitches are in
various areas of the campsite, with our Safari tents in the popular
red zone, facing west over the dunes. The wide sandy beach (with a
good surf) is 400 yards from the edge of the campsite – a pleasant
walk or cycle through the dunes. About a mile from the campsite a
forest cycle path links many of the pretty market towns like
Messanges and Vieux Boucau. For a quiet alternative to the beach,
why not try one of the inland lakes for swimming or water sports.
